Color-enhancing Contact Lenses
Colored contact lenses with light tints can enhance your natural eye color. They also make it easier to handle and insert your lenses. All sorts of contact lenses (including multifocal and toric lenses) are available in colors.

Color-changing contact lenses
Opaque colored contact lenses completely change the color of your eyes — for example, brown to blue or gray to hazel. These lenses mask the iris or colored part of your eye, replacing your natural hue with one of your choosing. These lenses come in a wide variety of colors and can be remarkably realistic. Some wearers of opaque contact lenses see 20/20 without correction; they just enjoy the fun of changing eye color or coordinating eye color with a fashionable outfit.

Sports contact lenses
Certain contact lenses are designed to enhance performance in sports — enabling you to, say, spot a moving tennis ball more clearly.

UV blockers
Many contact lenses now include a UV blocker. This filters out harmful ultraviolet rays and may help to minimize the development of cataracts later in life.
